The Alabama Poultry Trust Foundation awarded over $75,000 in scholarships this past year to 28 students attending Auburn University. Recipients are either majoring in poultry science or graduating with a poultry science minor.
Alabama Poultry & Egg CEO Johnny Adams said it’s a priority for the Association to help students interested in poultry succeed and understand the entire industry.
“As an association we strive to continually recruit students that are interested in poultry science,” said Adams. “While students are at Auburn, we want to give them all the tools to succeed. One way we achieve this is through our foundation scholarships.”
Students were recognized and presented their scholarships during a Poultry Science Club meeting at Auburn University last fall.
